Continued geocaching up the Jersey Shore this weekend. This time, I went to Long Beach Island (LBI) and Seaside Heights. I think this will be the last daytrip targeting the Jersey Shore because it's about as far as I'd like to go. This weekend was yet another step towards finishing the Jersey Shore geocaches before beach season starts. I didn't get to Atlantic City until Sunday because Saturday was mostly working my way along the Route 322 corridor through Glassboro, Clayton, and Williamstown, getting some new geocaches placed since my last caching spree down that way. On Saturday, I went to Lancaster to attend the "38 Mack Fire Engine" flash mob geocaching event. Yes, we actually had a 1938 Mack firetruck to gather around. As with almost every Lancaster County trip, this one was interesting for the variety of caches. For "1.6 Away", I waded across a creek to the island where the cache was. I hadn't planned on going down to the Jersey Shore twice over the weekend but that's the way things happened. On Saturday, I went to CJG Visits Allaire State Park Spring Picnic. It was a small geocaching event with about a dozen attendees but it was nice. I did nearly all the geocaches in Allaire State Park and then found more in the general area ( Read more... )
